Longing for warmer weather candle review

"I have been burning Milana's Sunny Afternoon scent which was inspired by a sun drenched afternoon in England - carefree and crisp, fruity yet fresh and uplifting thanks to the the top notes of grapefruit and Brazilian orange. The grapefruit and orange notes prevail and dominate the scent making it very citrus based and great for burning when you need a quick pick me up any time of the year. I can't help but feel this would be the perfect candle to light in the warmer months while dinning outdoors - is anyone else currently longing for warmer weather?"

The winner of our create a fragrance competition was Susan Bannister...well done Susan.

The fragrance picked out of all the entries was Redwood (Ylang Ylang, Orange and Rosewood) which relates to the lyrics of the song. The candle will be tested in the scent and be available online soon.

We need your help in being creative and creating a fragrance for our ‘Heart of Gold’ candle.

Fragrance choice is in your hands, be as creative as you can, you don’t have to stick to one fragrance for example – if you like the sound of Lavender and Lemon together then choose both.

Do have a go at describing your chosen fragrance, this would be an advantage.  See our fragrance descriptions at Milana Candles for some ideas.

For example -

The ‘Sunny Afternoon’ candle is taken from The Kinks 1970′s hit ‘Sunny Afternoon’ as you can see the fragrance description contains no lyrics from the song, which is fine, we want more of a fragrance description that matches the notes of the fragrance rather than any of the lyrics.

The winning fragrance will then be made in Milana’s natural soy wax in the ‘Heart of Gold’ signature black glass and then despatched to you as your prize.

We will then make this fragrance exclusively in the ‘Heart of Gold’ candle line.  Heart of Gold was a 1970′s hit for Neil Young.
